We were having some issues with the “builder grade” master bathroom; Our home was built in 2019, so not an old home at all. Garden tub with cracking, tub piping coming loose from the walls, and shower floor started popping up and down as you stepped into it. Needless to say, we were over it - builder’s warranty company provided zero help to us with precious issues we had, so it was pointless to contact them. Ultimate decision, completely redo the bathroom. That’s where Southern Elite Contracting stepped it. Smooth process, and beautiful details. I designed the bathroom, and they brought it to life! Ernie, Devin & Robert have been a pleasure to work with. These are the before and after pictures! Contact these guys if you have a vision - they can do it all! Thank you, again! ????
I requested Southern Elite Contracting to do some floor repair in my kitchen and for a patio deck to be installed. I was referred by a friend and I am so glad they referred them. Everything about the process was smooth and easy. The owner, Devin Smith was there for me every step of the process. If you ever need any home improvement work done, please contact Southern Elite. They are great.
I bought a new home and had a major leak from the guest bathroom located upstairs in my home. The leak was visible at my garage ceiling and ceiling of my water heater which run together. The demolition was done to tear down all of the visible damage. Which included an area of the ceiling, the ceiling of the water heater area and the entire wall of the water heater area. The ENTIRE bathroom floor, the shower and shower walls. This all for $10,000. After the demolition it was time for the repairs which also was an additional $10,000. The shower, floors and shower walls were repaired. The bottom half of the wall where the water heater is and a portion of the ceiling outside of the water heater area. When I was told that the job was complete, I questioned why the ceiling underneath my bathroom floor was still exposed and why the walls were still exposed. I was told that those areas weren’t a part of the estimate. Indeed they were! They estimate was not for incomplete work. As a matter of fact, it included an entire sink, vanity, mirror etc which I did not receive because those materials were able to be reused since they were practically 2 months old. Needless to say I was totally ripped off! Pictures coming…. In response to your response Interesting that you say I have a balance!!! This is the first that I’m hearing of a balance! I have pictures of the final two checks with a text that says FINAL BALANCE! There are items on the PAID estimate weren’t replaced. Faucets, mirror, sink, dry wall, toilet paper holder etc! Those items were savaged… previous items from my bathroom. The water heater has nothing to do with the claim! However the ceiling where the water heater is housed is a continuation of my garage ceiling that was damaged from the upstairs bathroom. The ceiling right underneath my bathroom floor! So you replace the bathroom floor but not the ceiling underneath it and just leave it exposed??? BUT you fix the exposed ceiling inches from it??? The entire ceiling and the walls were demolished because of the damage from the leak. So why only partial repair? My insurance covered the cost for a total repair of the damages not a partial repair. Now you say a balance? We were to go over all that was covered from the detailed estimate. That never happened. I’ve gone over the items and the costs and I clearly should not have half a wall and ceiling exposed NOR A BALANCE. This is absurd! You may have some great reviews but mine isn’t far Off from the unsatisfactory ones.
We used SEC for the replacement of our roof as well as to extend the roof-line over an expanded patio addition. The Southern Elite team did a great job. They showed up on time, worked hard, cleaned up, and completed the projects quickly and as scheduled.
Southern elite has played an important role in my life over the last several months. I had extensive water damage and they was able to write an thorough estimate to submit to the insurance company. Things that I would have not considered to include they got it approved. My project coordinator Ernie Green is phenomenal, he was their by my side the entire time communicating with me every step of the way. I could call his cell ANYTIME!!! He is the best at what he do. If you ever use them, ask for Ernie as your coordinator. Southern elite has the most professional and respectable contractors I ever worked with. Contractors get a bad rep but these guys(Kevin, Richard, Courtney, Zack, just to name a few) were a godsend. They have put my house back together better than before the water damage and they clean up after themselves. Each contractor did their part in a timely manner and professionally; from the painter, the carpet, the bathroom remodel, the tile as well as the ceiling repairs. They went above and beyond my satisfaction. These guys became family and I will continue to use them for future repairs. Lastly, I have to give shout out to Natasha who works in the office behind the scene. She stayed on the insurance co throughout the entire process making sure that they did what they were supposed to do. Thank you Southern elite for keeping your word and repairing my house. Your honesty has given me peace of mind.
