Painting Crew Atlanta was hired for a residential renovation project. Their scope of work included removing popcorn ceiling, repairing and smoothing ceilings, removing crown molding, repairing walls, removing plantation shutters, repairing window frames and sills, removing wallpaper and painting all trim, doors, walls and ceilings. I was given an estimated project length of 1 week. My experience with Painting Crew Atlanta was one frustration and issue after another and their quality of work was terrible! The first walk-through I did after I was told the work was completed was shocking. I couldn't believe they were trying to present the project as finished. The list of issues was extensive, but for this review I'll just highlight a few of them. Popcorn ceiling was still visible everywhere, especially in the corners and edges of the ceiling but also in a good portion of the ceilings. The ceilings were only smooth in a very limited portion of the property. Popcorn ceiling gunk was on every surface, including on the closet shelves, carpet, walls, floors, windows, etc. The entry wallpaper was not primed or removed. As a result, the wallpaper was visible through the paint. The front door wasn't primed properly prior to painting. As a result, the paint started peeling a week or so after it was painted. The painting was another big issues with very uneven edges, areas missing paint and areas without enough coats of paint. Following the 1st walk-through, I provided a detailed list of items to fix or complete, and I subsequently placed sticky notes on 2 separate occasions on the walls and ceilings so they could easily identify what needed to be fixed/completed. Despite my efforts and 4 return visits by Painting Crew Atlanta, the work was still left unfinished. The work was so poorly done, it was almost comical (although not funny at all!!). After the extensive project delays and after providing 4 chances to correct the problems with no success, it was time to cut my losses and end my interaction with Painting Crew Atlanta. Unfortunately, Painting Crew Atlanta was paid over $13,000. I will always regret paying them, but I just wanted them out of my life and off the property. After giving them 4 chances to complete the issues and them lying to me over and over again about resolving the issues, it made no sense to give them a 5th chance. It was foolish of me to give them as many chances as I did. Not only did I pay more than $13,000 to Painting Crew Atlanta, I also had to pay other contractors to correct the issues caused by Painting Crew Atlanta and complete the projects. Those additional costs were approximately $4,500 plus an additional 3-week project delay. The Photos were taken after the 4th time Painting Crew Atlanta returned to "complete the work". Their lack of quality workmanship is clearly evident in these pictures. I shared these photos with Painting Crew Atlanta and told them I would be posting negative reviews and pictures unless they refunded a portion of the $13,000 and reimbursed me for the additional costs to finish/correct the work they were paid to do. They refused.
